evaluation for music video

Whilst planning the music video me and my group decided on a song we all liked which was scrubs by TLC. Then we decided on each other's roles as well as the location that we wanted to shot at. I decided to play the male boyfriend as I was the only male in my group. The rest of the members was acting as a girl group. Our timekeeping was the only issue we had as we were only given 30 minutes to film our video. personally, If we had longer I think that our video quality would be much better in regards to professionalism. However, we didn't have much time meaning the amount of footage we have was sparse.

Regarding editing I believe that it was the hardest as we used a new software to edit. I feel like once I learn to edit more it would be easy as our group created a basic video which means basic editing. however our group layered videos on top of each other so that they can play at the same time and appear on the screen next to one another. editing was my personal weakness and an area that needs working on. Me and my group planned to use a brick wall and a field as well as a staircase for a performance part of the video. The mise en scene was basics as we only had the college to film.

A positive of my work is the camera angles we used. me and my group used a range of different shot in order to show that we can use a camera and display different shots which looks professional. A negative i would say was the time keeping as we went over our time which meant we had less time to edit. overall, I believe that the video is mostly positive as it went well however more time and more thinking would make the video more professional.
